 Licorice smile on the plane!

Snails anyone? Robert told Brookie he would give her a dollar to eat one and
Mackenzie said NO Brooklyn I'll give you a dollar not to eat one!

Quote of the Week

At Mackenzie's birthday party I asked her friend Nela if her mom is a doctor. She said "yes, she gets out babies."
Brooklyn responded "Did she get out her own babies?"

Ski School

Mackenzie took 6 lessons up at Snowbird this winter. I'd be lying to say she skipped out the door all smiles for all the ski days. But once she got dropped off she was great. I'm so impressed with how good she got so quickly. I decided to take a couple lessons, too, since I've never skied before. Now we're ready to be a ski family.
Here is Mackenzie with Miss Natasha. The last few weeks they put kitty whiskers on and did a lot of meowing. Smart move by teacher. Kenzie loves kitties.

Brooklyn, Ella Sharp, Ryan Lopez, Mackenzie, Nela Stehlik, Paige Sutherland

And of course she wants to finish off the day with breadsticks at Olive Garden.

Our family is so lucky to have Mackenzie as the biggest sister. She is smart and kind. She is silly and fun. We are amazed as we watch her grow. Happy birthday Mackenzie. We love you!

Oh, and we can't forget that Mackenzie got to blow out candles with Uncle Dave at the family get together! Yay for birthday buddies!

Uh-Oh

Mackenzie drew this picture when she got home from school today. Apparently it was a big day at kindergarten because Tyler is now her boyfriend. Is this normal or should I be worried? Remember, she is 5.

To remember when I'm old

The other day Brooklyn's dinner prayer went something like this: "Thank you we can eat good food and not rotten food or dirt or rocks or wood chips." Yes, thank goodness.

On the subject of good food...when our family has sandwiches for lunch the whole scene is so strange. Mackenzie likes bread, cheese, mayo and mustard with turkey on the side and several extra slices of cheese. OK. Brooklyn requests bread ketchup, mustard, and lettuce. Gross, right? She does not like cheese. Or lunch meat. Robert's sandwich starts out normal, but then... ketchup is his condiment of choice. Not normal.  And then FREAKS OUT about the fact that there is mustard anywhere in the kitchen and is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that anyone in our family is eating mayonaisse. Chaos.
