Quick trip to Palm Springs during Christmas break

Merry Christmas

We had a fun Christmas season.

It was our 2nd annual Christmas FHE candlelight dinner.

The girls slept in the loft on Christmas Eve in their matching pajamas. Hopefully next Christmas Jeffrey will be ready to join the big kids in the loft.

Always the most exciting part of Christmas...Christmas morning was really fun.  Favorite presents this year: M-timex watch  B-cotton candy maker  C-Star Lilly giant unicorn  J- bristle blocks

Nursery Visit

Mom's visiting day  in Charlotte's nursery 4 class.  She loves school and it was fun to be with her there to see her soaking it all in.

Brooklyn chose to celebrate her birthday at Funtopia, a kids' climbing place. Mackenzie, Brooklyn, Emmie, Katelyn, Charlotte, Nicole, Ellie, Elizabeth and Sophie pictured here. They had a great time climbing up the walls and eating ice cream cake. And as a bonus we got to go straight to the BYU football game after partying for more treats.

Family get-together with the standard yellow cake and chocolate frosting.

The grand finale was Brooklyn getting baptized on December 5th.  She was very excited and ready for this day. She was feeling so sick the day before her baptism but she got a blessing from her dad and grandpa and we experienced a tender mercy as she felt much better after that. After the baptism we had lots of family to our house for a brunch of Kneaders french toast and breakfast casserole.

AZ for Turkey Day

Thanksgiving holiday spent at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess was a great success.  It is not always smooth sailing with the 4 rascals on vacations but plenty of cousins to play with and kids clubs to attend with cousins made it super fun.  We played around the hotel, made up plays, played at top golf, and did the Christmas activities.  Smiths also crashed Annie's family feast for our warm up meal to be repeated at the hotel soon after.  And we saw Christiansen cousins again at the trampoline park.

Halloween 2015

The Hwangs were gracious enough to invite us to their Halloween party again this year. The ninja and dead bride taking time out for some refreshment.

Mom- leaves Dad to take all the kids Halloweening so she can go to the Garth Brooks concert? (Which was amazingly fun) What a dead beat mom and a rock star dad!

3.5 Nationals in Palm Springs was so fun. I can't believe I didn't get a picture but Robert came along which turned it into an even better weekend.  Our team ended up coming in 2nd in our flight. I played a singles match that I won, a singles match that I got smoked and a doubles match with Lou that we won.

Mackenzie scored her first goal and also did a great job as goalie at this game. It was a great day.

Some things I want to remember about girl number 3...

Char: Can I have all your lipstick when you die?
Mom: Sure. I'll leave you all my lipstick when I die.
Char: Yay!! And I'll miss you.

Charlotte was talking to her friend Olivia Caffe on the way to preschool.  Olivia said that her sister goes to kindergarten.  Char replies "I know a different kind of kindergarten.  It has lots of food and it's the Olive Garden."

Did you know if you keep eating more and more food your tummy gets bigger and bigger until a baby pops out and you have another baby.
(no I didn't know that!)

One day we saw a dark black man at the store. She points to the man and loudly says "Look (I am panicking) ...that guy...has no hair!"

We read Char stories every night before bed. Robert and I take turns and when she gets mad at one of us she will threaten us with the punishment of "You don't get to read to me tonight!"

At Kate's baptism he is yelling "wake up" during the prayer. He does the same thing at home but it turns embarrassing in public.

He also ran to the front when Grandma Jill was giving a talk to "cheers" her with his bottle and the soda can used for the object lesson. 

I love how he says "hold you".  He's pretty cuddly for a little boy and gives the best kisses.

Chasing is his favorite thing in the world.

Calls the girls "Kengy, Bookie, Char Char"  He loves his sisters and always wants everyone (the entire room) to 'mon (come on).

Learning the alphabet he sings A, B, C, Y and Kenzie. So cute.

He likes to nap and sleep with stuffed animals.

Loves the sandbox and swings. He does not care how hot it is (but we do!).

One summer day the fire engine was randomly at the library and we snapped these super cute kids aboard.  It is fun to have a little boy so we can all get excited about the fire engine!
