This is Mackenzie and her new best friend Izzy. Am I crazy? Yes. I figured I'd have to eventually give in and get a dog with the husband and daughter that I have. We found her on ksl.com and couldn't pass her up. She's a 6 month old lab/heeler mix. So far she's been a good dog and patient with Kenzie. Aren't they cute together?

Only 2

Most people say "I can't believe she's already 2" but I say "I can't believe she's only 2." This is because I can't remember what life was like before she came to our family. She can be a handful but she brings us so much happiness and joy.

For the birthday celebration Mackenzie got to go with cousins to Jungle Jim's, a place with rides and games her size. Notice that Adam (in the car behind us) is much smarter than me - sitting on the outside so he didn't smash Dakota. The "neighs" were probably Mackenzie's favorite...I think she did that one 4 times.

Baby Blessing

You'd think there would be a picture with a post this important but things got too hectic. We were just trying to get ourselves out the door and didn't quite get the camera. Brooklyn's blessing was Sunday February 3rd. With all the snow and wind we ended up getting so much drifted snow on our driveway that we couldn't get out (our driveway is about 1/8 mile long). With the help family and neighbors with tractors and backhoes we made it to the blessing. Robert gave her a very sweet blessing and we were so grateful to have so many family members there. Despite the stress from the weather, it turned out to be a beautiful day. It's always wonderful to have a reason to get together.
