Brooklyn loves to climb up on things and jump- whether you are looking or not. Don't worry Robert was there on this one.

Can you see what is missing in picture #2?

Please don't hate me. It had to be done. We've just hit our 1 year mark in our house. We've been so lucky to be able to make it ours one project at a time. I love my home and I hope my girls will feel like it is a happy haven-like place as they grow up.
Play Date Fun
This is a bit delayed but a while back we a fun play date at our house. Mackenzie loved having all the friends to play with and I was so impressed with how well they got along. I think Kenzie had to change her clothes 3 or 4 times - after every water fight.
You know you're having fun when there are 3 minivans (plus one in the garage) in the driveway and a pile of diapers on the porch to be taken out!!

All these children plus the many babies who were inside all belong to Robert's high school friends wives. I guess they also belong to his friends. His friends have great taste in wives who I've really enjoyed getting to know.

How can I say no?
Tonight when we were getting ready for bed Mackenzie asked "Can I get married some day?"
I told her yes and she asked "When Brooklyn gets older can I marry her?" Too cute to say no.

FYI
I really like the blog I have on my sidebar called "Real Mom Kitchen." There is a simple daily recipe. I've tried several of them now and have been pleased. I even tried her chocolate cream puffs and they were easy and yummy.

Do I feel like a new woman or do I feel like a new woman
Best pre-Mother's Day present ever. My mom and Grandma came for 3 1/2 days. I ran around like a crazy person trying to get things done. I got a lot done but was mostly just a crazy person. I know you're all dieing to see the list of things I accomplished.
1) Finished building my grow boxes for my garden (proud moment)...it should be a garden soon...still need to cut the sod and figure out the sprinkling system...
2) Got a good start on staining the swing set and back steps
3) Almost finished some roman shades for the play room
4) Filled up my gigantic water storage barrel
5) Painted $1 chairs for the girls to use outside...So happy spring has sprung!!
6) Took white paint to some furniture
7) Got some work done with the 2 rental houses that I manage
8) Thanksgiving Point visit
9) Got a new calling as a nursery worker. Apparently there is a large FLASHING NEON sign on my forehead that says "Call me to nursery ASAP." Even if I knew how to take the sign off my head I would be hesitant. There are just so many callings that are more demanding and intimidating. Maybe if I could just turn off the lights somehow!!
10) Went to Mother's Day party at Kenzie's school

What not to say to mom
The other day when I was taking Mackenzie to school she said "You are too big to go to school." Thinking that she meant "too old" I agreed.
