If parenting skills are measured by how many times your children chop their own hair, I am in trouble...
When I walked in during quiet time, Brooklyn was shoving hair down the vent. (Poor barbie- hers won't even grow back.) If Brooklyn thought disposing of the evidence would hide her haircut, she was sorely mistaken...

I give you permission to laugh at the photos above. I can't seem to help laughing every time I see it. It's just so...sad...and funny!
The gal at Dollar Cuts fixed her up as much as possible. Still one of the cutest 3 year olds around somehow...

M's First Piano Recital
When Mackenzie turned 5 in February she started taking piano lessons from a neighbor. Today was her first recital. Mackenzie worked so hard learning her songs. In the song "Honeybee" she plays with both hands together. At first I thought she would never get it. Frustration! But then it clicked. Phew! The week before the recital I told her she had to practice and practice until she could play it without even thinking. And she sarcastically said back to me "What like I have to play it 100 times." I told her that was perfect- 100 times. Then she thought it sounded like a good goal so we made a chart numbered from 1 to 100 and she got to cross a number off every time she played it. My little perfectionist made it to 100 times and then added 5 more on the back of the chart.
Mackenzie did great at the recital. Donni Morrey is a great teacher. She makes her students feel like they are awesome; she got each girl a rose and each boy a balloon.

Pics

Front yard picnic. Char happy eating oranges with girls fighting in the background.
Pretty baby playing with mobile.
I'm taking an online class (www.nicolesclasses.com) to learn how to use my nice camera Robert got me for Christmas. The goal is to be able to shoot on manual instead of auto. Fun stuff

Mini Vacation
We had a great little trip down to St. George last week. We were able to see Robert's youngest sister graduate from SUU.
Some girls enjoyed the pool more than others. Poor Char Char had an awful cold so she had an excuse.

Always a nice get away!

Salt Lake Marathon & Half
April 16 Robert ran the marathon and survived! I was so impressed how he trained all winter long, all on his own. When we ran the St. George marathon we could keep each other on track.
I ran the half (13.1 miles). The race was great, I want to be it a yearly thing.
This picture was taken when I got home from the race. We were running too late that morning to get any pics together :(
