headboard for sale
$12- fabric and batting not included :)
I made a super cute headboard with this plywood I purchased from Home Depot. I wanted to make a twin bed in Brooklyn's room into a daybed but the layout of the room never felt right to me.
This headboard can be yours for the $12 I paid for it. It is 78" wide and 48" tall at the tallest point. You could cut the sides to the width you need.

M's Pre Preschool Graduation
Mackenzie had Miss Leslie and Miss Britney for preschool teachers this year. Now she is so ready for kindergarten! She also enjoyed music and reading with Miss Sandy. I think she might be smarter than me already. Miss Leslie told me how much she enjoyed Mackenzie's sense of humor all year.
After the milestone graduation
Excited wave to her supporters
Karate performance
Mackenzie also participated in a mini music class taught by a lady in our neighborhood. She loved it! Here she is with her certificate and giant package of starburst after the graduation program.
B's Preschool Graduation
Brooklyn loved preschool this year. She constantly talked about Miss Jamie, her sweet teacher, and her friends Sophie and Jacob. She learned to enjoy letters, art, singing, and being a friend. Miss Jamie told me she was always like a little mommy making sure everyone was ok and everyone was following the rules.
Here are pictures from her song and dance filled graduation program:
Dancing with Miss Sandy and Grandma Jill
Getting diploma from Miss Jamie
And Char taking it all in
Shark Attack sprint tri
At the end of July Robert and I are doing the Spudman Triathlon in Idaho. It will be a mile swim (downstream in the Snake River), 24 mile bike, and 6 mile run. I wanted to do a sprint tri for practice so I signed up for this one in Riverton at the South Valley Rec Center. This one was 300 swim, 11 mile bike and 3 mile run. It was small- about 150 racers total. I loved it! And guess what...I came in first! ok ok so I came in first in the Athena division (only for those over 150 lbs)...ok ok there were only 10 people in the division. haha I'll take it anyway I can get it :)

Sweet Sis

After Brooklyn got in trouble for her self inflicted hair cut, she was crying her head off. Mackenzie wanted to make her feel better so she went and found a balloon, tied a ribbon onto it, and used tape to attach a cookie cutter. This is what we get when we go to Cookie Cutters (a kids salon here). She went to all that trouble to make Brooklyn feel like she was supposed to have that hair cut! I thought it was so thoughtful.
And she is also a great babysitter as you see above :)
Brooklyn's Jokes

Brooklyn (while I was patting her leg): "My leg is not a drum."
Me: Oh! It's not, what is it? (expecting her to say it's my leg)
Brooklyn: It's a tuba
When we went into the giant walk in fridge at Costco, Brooklyn said "Are we going to turn into food? Some giant people are going to come and eat us!"
I just love her little sense of humor.

Soon she'll be asking for the keys
I'm afraid to blink. My baby is turning into a big girl right before my very eyes.
Tricks include...
6 months- sitting up
7 months- 2 bottom teeth
8 months- goes from laying to sitting (she's all over the place rolling style)
8.5 moths- scooting on toes and elbows (soon it'll be a full blown crawl and I'm in trouble)
Those two bottom teeth are coming in nicely. I'm worried she'll be upside down beaver if the the top two don't start growing.
Charlotte had noodles for dinner the other night and it was cracking me up how she was literally shoveling them into her mouth.

AND the video.
