Memorial Day

 I dragged the family up to Millcreek Canyon for a short Memorial Day hike and picnic. They loved the picnic part.

Then we came home and played in the backyard. We turned on some tunes and the kids were having a dance party. Had to document.

Char Graduates from Early 3's

Char loved preschool with Miss Jamie this year. She loved the art projects and all her friends and her teachers.

Grandma Carol was such a good sport to dance "A Tooty-Ta-Ta" with Charlotte.

Mackenzie Soccer

 Mackenzie has been awesome at soccer this spring and she has quite enjoyed it.  She really likes being goalie and was hoping that would be her job. But in the very first game she scored a goal and realized that was pretty fun. It gave her a lot of confidence and I think she has scored in every game.  She has a really skilled team and she signed up with her friend Ryan Lopez. Ryan's mom and brothers are her coaches.

Vericose Vein Fun

I had this procedure done 2 days after running the marathon. It wasn't super fun but now I am feeling basically normal. Resting from this also healed my strained hip flexor so it was a win win.

Salt Lake Marathon

Robert has marathon #4 under his belt. He is considering retiring from this particular event because he has miraculously gotten slower with every race.

This was marathon #2 for me and I am so satisfied with that number. I came across the finish line at 4 hours 20 minutes and 13 seconds. During the race I felt pretty good but I just kept thinking "I still have SO FAR to go!"  My pace ended up being 9:57 and I am kind of impressed with that since I don't run much faster than that on a regular old 3 mile run.

Endangered Species: Sloth

Class II has a fun endangered species project that Mackenzie did such a great job on. She chose the sloth and she read many many books from the library on sloths. The classes presented their research and Mackenzie made such a cute, SMART explorer!

Happy Easter 2014

 

Grandma Jill, Shelley and Ashley came to visit over Easter weekend. They were kind enough to watch the kids while we were marathoning (and then napping and then massaging). It was great to have company for the holiday.

Hunting for Easter treats is always great fun!

Thank goodness for Grandma Carol who thought to pick out new Easter dresses for my girls.
