Christmas 2016

Our Christmas had multiple personalities this year! First was our snowy white Christmas at home. Then our beautiful warm Hawaiian Christmas celebration.

We had our fondue dinner on Christmas Eve this year. And the kids organized a talent show.  Jeffrey's talent was a magic show (assisted by Mackenzie), Brooklyn told some jokes, Charlotte did cartwheels all the way down the hall, and mackenzie did a dance and played the piano. Campout in the loft is a favorite.

The Smiths all stayed at the Grand Wailea. We had the best time going to the beach and pool every single day. Throw in going out to eat and we had the perfect vacation.

Brooklyn turns 9

Brooklyn celebrated her birthday at the Baking Hive.  They mixed, baked, and decorated beautiful cakes with butterbeer frosting.

Halloween 2016

Charlotte turns 6

We had to take advantage of our only summer birthday and talk Charlotte into a backyard pool party.
We love how Charlotte gives us our little girl fix every day. She is a sweetie who loves to play and look pretty.

Summer Olympics 2016

Robert and his brother Rick, who served his mission in Brazil, headed South to Rio de Janeiro for the Olympics. They were able to watch beach volleyball, men's basketball, and track and field. They also had a sight-seeing day. Robert's highlights-seeing athletes and lowlight-not being able to understand the language!

Back home, we celebrated the games with the neighborhood. All the kids made it to the medal stand. Proud mom moment!
