Recently Mackenzie and Charlotte went to see Dr. Cramer for their 5 year and 6 month well child check ups.
At 5 years M is 45" tall and 43lbs. Lately M likes to pretend. I don't know how many times per day she tells me "Pretend you say_____ and the I say_____" And then I have to repeat it verbatim. Yesterday Mackenzie and Brooklyn were pretending to be Chinese girls and they were eating their goldfish with 2 dry spaghetti noodles which were the chopsticks. I had bunco at my house last week and Mackenzie was saying Mom you know how you go to bunco or book club and you say Mackenzie says this and the other moms tell funny things about their kids? And she wanted to hear a funny story another mom told about their kids. I was amazed that she picks up on the fact that when moms get together we talk about our kids. If you think you are going to get something past this 5 year old THINK AGAIN :)
Charlotte was 26" tall and 17lbs. She rolls all over the floor, but prefers to be upright either in her bouncer or bumbo. Although I think her very favorite place to be is in mom's arms; second place is her high chair with cheerios in front of her. This is where her sisters on each side begin an ultra competitive round of Who Can Get Char's Attention slash Who Does the Baby Like More! I GUARANTEE if this baby ever smiles at you, you will not be able to resist smiling back!
Brooklyn is a joyful little girl. Our hardest time of day with her is getting dressed time. She has about 3 favorite outfits. It has been months since she wore anything other than a dress or skirt. She has firm ideas about what are "boy clothes" and she will not touch them. The ultimate put-down between Mackenzie and Brooklyn is telling the other they have something boyish..."you have a boy plate, you look like a boy, you have on a boy color, etc". I have no idea where this came from. Right now she is obsessed with cinnamon toast-breakfast,lunch,dinner, snack- it's her request.
Each girl so UNIQUE and WONDERFUL!!

Taking matters into her own hands
Mackenzie came up with this idea and carried it out all on her own...
Every day Brooklyn does not pinch or scratch Mackenzie, Brooklyn earns a sticker. When the chart is full, they get to go to icecream. The last, bottom, right hand square is a picture of their icecream cones. So funny! This is pretty new but so far we have not earned a sticker yet :)

Half a Year Old

My Charlotte has reached the 6 month mark. She is our sweetie!
I'm excited that I have survived half a year with 3 kids. I can't say it's been easy but that smile makes it all worth it!

We Heart Whitney

Whitney is our sanity saver. She comes every week at a set time so I can do errands, or dr. appointments, or take a breather. The girls adore her and she can even handle all 3 at once. I am so lucky.
Visitors
Last weekend my cousin Cyle Adair got married so Grandma, Grandpa, and cousins came to town. The only pics I have are the ones the kids took of themselves while playing...

Pretty cute I thought :)
More Mackenzie Birthday Pics
Mackenzie was so lucky to celebrate her birthday with Grandma Jill and Grandma Jean visiting! My girls LOVE their Grandmas...and for good reason. Grandmas are so attentive and way more fun than mom. Grandma Jill plays chase where she is the witch and Grandma Jean makes playdough animals you can actually recognize.
I do not want it to go undocumented that Mackenzie's parents love her SO MUCH that they took her to Chuckie Cheese for her 5th birthday. Holy celebration!

Somebody Turned 5
Do we love this girl or do we really love this girl? We really love this girl. So smart, helpful, sensitive, sweet and fun!
