I really like the blog I have on my sidebar called "Real Mom Kitchen." There is a simple daily recipe. I've tried several of them now and have been pleased. I even tried her chocolate cream puffs and they were easy and yummy.

Do I feel like a new woman or do I feel like a new woman
Best pre-Mother's Day present ever. My mom and Grandma came for 3 1/2 days. I ran around like a crazy person trying to get things done. I got a lot done but was mostly just a crazy person. I know you're all dieing to see the list of things I accomplished.
1) Finished building my grow boxes for my garden (proud moment)...it should be a garden soon...still need to cut the sod and figure out the sprinkling system...
2) Got a good start on staining the swing set and back steps
3) Almost finished some roman shades for the play room
4) Filled up my gigantic water storage barrel
5) Painted $1 chairs for the girls to use outside...So happy spring has sprung!!
6) Took white paint to some furniture
7) Got some work done with the 2 rental houses that I manage
8) Thanksgiving Point visit
9) Got a new calling as a nursery worker. Apparently there is a large FLASHING NEON sign on my forehead that says "Call me to nursery ASAP." Even if I knew how to take the sign off my head I would be hesitant. There are just so many callings that are more demanding and intimidating. Maybe if I could just turn off the lights somehow!!
10) Went to Mother's Day party at Kenzie's school

What not to say to mom
The other day when I was taking Mackenzie to school she said "You are too big to go to school." Thinking that she meant "too old" I agreed.

Telos Timp Tri
This last Saturday I competed in my first mini triathlon (it is officially called a "sprint triathlon" but that name bugs me because it implies that I sprint- which I don't). I thought it was a fun thing to do and a neat way to motivate myself to work out. Robert was most impressed with the fact that my race bib was #26 (his birthday).
Playing at the park after the race

F-town and Sac-town
The girls and I decided it was time to go see grandma and grandpa in Fallon. So we did. We all loved it.
Mackenzie had a good time with her cousin Kate. I was excited about this because during our last visit all they did was fight over Grandma Jill. Brooklyn was happy as could be wondering around the yard. Both girls loved the attention they had full time and have been suffering withdrawal since we got home.

I was able to see some good friends. Nothing is better than a life long friend, even if you don't get to see them too often.

Most of my mom's sister's kids were home for a visit as well. We drove to Sacramento to see them and get all the cousins together. We ate good food, went to fairytale town, and were entertained by the 9 crazy kids.
Here is picture of my Grandma with all her great grandkids except Kevin who stayed in Fallon to take the ACT.
